Dating back to the very first show 124 years ago, the sheep classes remain one of the most popular events on the timetable.
With 12 breeds of sheep on show, and farmers from both near and far competing for the coveted Supreme Sheep in Show ‘Upper Wharfedale N.F.U Cup’, the competition is tough and camaraderie is strong.
The ever-popular showcase of Cattle is another highlight of the day which continues to stand the test of time.
Farmers and breeders from across the country travel to present their best stock in this highly regarded competition, judged by the best in the business.
Spectators are awarded the opportunity to see a wonderful mix of Native and Continental breeds, both during the show and whilst walking through the tents afterwards. What’s more, farmers and cattle handlers are on hand to answer any questions and queries from the public.
Showcase your cattle this year and be in with a chance of taking home your share of our increased prize fund!
